Track lighting guide

Build a first-pass track layout before detailed circuiting.

This track lighting calculator is built for retail, hospitality, gallery and mixed commercial schemes that need an early parts-led layout estimate. It converts shape, run length and mounting type into a first-pass bill of materials, a likely spotlight quantity and an enquiry-ready schedule.

The output is especially useful when a project needs an early quotation direction before exact feeds, circuits and final lighting positions have been fixed. Copy the schedule or open the quote request for the selected parts.

How the calculator works

The calculator uses the chosen run shape, length and number of runs to estimate total track length, module quantity, connectors, supports and likely spotlight density. It can also include suspended mounting or emergency add-ons when required.

This creates a copyable early bill of materials for both design review and quotation information, including VANTAGE.ACC.01 hardware references and known Lumenloop spotlight model codes.

What the result does not replace

Final track schemes still need feed-position review, circuiting checks, controls coordination and a proper lighting design to confirm aiming, beam spread and spotlight count.

A first-pass bill of materials is helpful, but it should not be treated as a final procurement list without project validation.

Track Lighting Calculator FAQ

Does this calculate final spotlight positions?

No. It estimates track parts and a likely spotlight quantity. Final aiming and spacing still need project information.

Why does application type affect spotlight count?

Retail, gallery, office and hospitality schemes use track differently. Accent density and beam control expectations are not the same in every space.

Is this suitable for suspended track?

Yes. The calculator includes suspended mounting logic so the parts estimate can reflect that path.

When should emergency be added to track?

That depends on the project strategy and whether the lighting scheme needs emergency provision integrated into the track system.

Quotation

Product enquiry based on the track lighting layout.

The calculator result gives a practical starting point for a commercial lighting project. Product cards carry the selected inputs into a quotation enquiry for the matched Lumenloop range.

When the estimate looks close, continue into track lighting systems to compare product ranges, mounting choices, controls, emergency options and project-configured luminaires before enquiry.
