Casambi downlights and LED driver options
Casambi lighting control uses Bluetooth Low Energy communication. Its app supports dimming, grouping and scenes, while the luminaires still require an electrical supply. Specify the wireless-control option with the downlight so the driver arrangement matches the intended system.
For the ceiling, compare cut-out, bezel, recess depth, IP rating, beam and useful light output. Aero provides IP54 protection; AeroLux is adjustable. Axis and Glow offer fixed or tilt bezels in the same 67 mm cut-out, with different outputs and standard optics.
Switches and lighting scenes
Tell us which luminaires should dim together and whether staff will use wall switches, the app or both. Control accessories and commissioning need to be included in the project specification.

Commissioning responsibility
Agree who will configure the network, test the lighting controls and hand over access to the operator. State emergency lighting and testing requirements separately.

Are all Lumenloop downlights Casambi compatible?
Aero, AeroLux, Axis and Glow each offer a Casambi wireless dimming option. Specify that option when requesting a quotation; it is not included with every version of each luminaire.
Can these LED downlights be controlled with the Casambi app?
The Casambi system supports app control, grouping and lighting scenes. The selected driver and control equipment must suit the project. Agree the switches, groups and commissioning arrangements before ordering.
Which ranges have a small cut-out or adjustable bezel?
Axis and Glow use a 67 mm cut-out and offer fixed or tilt bezels. AeroLux is adjustable with a 70 mm cut-out. Aero has a 90 mm cut-out and IP54 protection.
Does wireless lighting control remove the need for power wiring?
No. Wireless describes the control communication. The downlight and its driver still need a suitable electrical supply. Confirm the driver arrangement, ceiling access and installation requirements for the selected version.
Can I specify emergency lighting with Casambi downlights?
State the emergency lighting requirement separately in your enquiry. Emergency operation and testing are separate from normal lighting control; the driver and emergency combination must be confirmed for the chosen luminaire.
Do I need drawings to request a quote?
No. Include the range, approximate quantity and any known ceiling or control requirements. Drawings are optional for the initial enquiry. We can identify the remaining product details needed to prepare the quotation.
