Specification answer

CRI narrows the field; the visual task decides the fitting.

The CIE defines the general colour rendering index as the average of the first eight test-colour indices. A published Ra90 or CRI 90 value is therefore useful evidence, but it is not a complete description of how materials will appear in a finished room.

Arc, Flexi, Twist and Miro each document 90-level general colour rendering. Their output, optic, control and emergency positions differ, so the schedule should name the exact family and configuration rather than relying on a general high-CRI note.

What does Ra90 mean?

Ra is the general colour rendering index. Ra90 indicates a higher general index than Ra80, but it does not describe every individual test colour or the full spectral character of the source.

Which high-CRI family has the widest output range?

Flexi reaches 4550 lm in the current family data, making it the highest-output route in this comparison.

Do all four families offer DALI?

No. Arc, Flexi and Twist list DALI options. Miro is presented here only in its documented on/off position.

Is Ra90 enough to choose a downlight?

No. It is one useful colour-rendering threshold, but beam, colour temperature, output and the materials being lit still matter. Colour-critical schemes should also be checked with samples or a mock-up.

Which high-CRI downlights can be aimed?

Arc is a slim directional linear option, Flexi is adjustable across a broad output range, Twist is a fully adjustable round gimbal, and Miro is a compact adjustable downlight.

Can Miro be specified with dimming or emergency?

The current source documents Miro with an on/off driver and does not support a dimming or emergency claim. Choose another family or confirm a separate project-specific solution before specifying those functions.
